10DLC questions

Short answers to the questions that show up during 10DLC registration. This is a product note, not legal advice.

Why do I have to register?

US carriers treat business texting on a 10-digit number as its own kind of traffic. They want a brand and a campaign on the record. Every Entrance account needs an approved campaign before regular sending.

Is this only my account?

Any business sending application-to-person texts in the US is in the same system. On Entrance it is part of the account, not a side project.

What if I do nothing?

Regular sending waits on an approved campaign. Write support@entrancegrp.com if you are stuck on the form. The form itself says what has to change before a submission would fail review.

Will registered messages still be filtered?

They can. Registration does not override a spam complaint. Messages people report are still treated as reported messages.

Who sees what I submit?

The review runs through The Campaign Registry and the carriers. The people you text do not get the registration packet. Entrance uses the form to file the campaign and to email you as the status changes.

Will The Campaign Registry call me?

You follow the campaign through the status email on the account. Questions about a specific submission go to support@entrancegrp.com.

Can I still reply to customers?

Yes. Registration is about the traffic, not about turning off replies. The reply still comes back to the workspace.

What is 10DLC?

A 10-digit long code used for application-to-person messaging. The longer note is here.

What is The Campaign Registry?

The hub carriers use for 10DLC brands and campaigns.

What is a trust score?

The score that follows a brand after review. Daily throughput follows it. A T-Mobile cap is the floor to plan from. A cap of 10,000 on T-Mobile usually means about three times that across carriers.

Do I need new phone numbers?

No. After approval, numbers are ordered in Manage Numbers at $1 a month. They are ordinary 10-digit numbers.

I have more than one business.

You can register more than one business. A workspace links to one campaign.

I don’t have an EIN, or I can’t register the whole company.

Write support@entrancegrp.com before you force the form. Say whether you are an employee, a sole proprietor, or someone registering on behalf of a client. The right path depends on that.

What does this cost?

The segment rate on the pricing page includes carrier fees. Numbers are $1 a month. There is no separate carrier surcharge on top of the tier. A charge on a registration that you do not recognize is a support question, not something to guess from an old fee sheet.

I don’t know how to answer the form.

Send the question to support@entrancegrp.com. Include the website you plan to submit and the kind of messages you send.
